Alan Lamar Dempsey age 74 of Canton, GA passed away Friday May 3, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:00PM until the funeral hour. Graveside services will follow at 10:30AM on Friday, May 10, 2024, in the Georgia National Cemetery with Army Military Honors.

Mr. Dempsey is survived by his wife Debbie Dempsey of Canton; son Daniel (Penny) Dempsey of Woodstock; daughter Mandy (Hunter) Hendrix of Woodstock; brother Jerry Dempsey; sisters Kathy Fowler of Canton; Carol Dempsey of Dalton; 8 grandchildren, Billy Hendrix, Brody Hendrix, Cooper Alan Hendrix, Peyton Dempsey, Ryker Dempsey, Tanner Killian Hendrix, Piper Dempsey and Maverick K. Dempsey; and a host of nieces and nephews.
