Artemus William Childers, age 86 of Canton, passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at his residence. The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Monday, April 19th from 6-8pm, Tuesday, April 20th from 10am-8pm, and Wednesday, April 21st from 10am-2pm. The funeral will be on Wednesday, April 21st at 2pm in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Smith and Rev. Edward Hamrick officiating. Interment will follow at Hinton Cemetery. He is survived by:
Wife - Ernestine Childers of Canton
Daughter - Shelia (Ray) Poole of Canton
Daughter - Kathy (Tommy) Mathews of Canton
Daughter - Donna (Randy) Cochran of Waleska
Brother - Thurman Childers of Canton
Sister - Melo (Grady) Evans of Jasper
8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive.
