Audree Belle Isle Casey passed away peacefully on August 20, 2018 in Canton, Ga. at the age of 92.
Audree is survived by her children, Peter Casey (Elaine) of Canton, Ga., Roselle Casey Barbour (Peter) of Parrish, Fl, and William J Casey III of Delray Beach, Fl; in addition to three grandchildren, Tamara Anne Barbour of Marcy, NY, Peter J. Barbour (Kristin) of Goshen, NY and Kimberly C. Barbour of Parrish, Fl. Audree is preceded in death by her husband William J. Casey, Jr. and daughter Anne Marie Casey, and brother Joseph F. Belle Isle of New London, NH.
Audree was born on July 7 1926 in New York, New York to S. Joseph and Ardelle Belle Isle. She graduated from The College of New Rochelle in 1948 with a degree in English and Latin. She was married to William J Casey, Jr., a graphic artist who asked her to hold his watch while on the tennis court in Belle Harbor NY; in 1950 they were married in Queen's Village, NY. Once married, they moved into their newly built home in Greenvale, LI, NY where they raised their four children. In the 70's, Audree went back to work as an insurance specialist for United Mutual Savings Bank and then Roslyn Savings Bank (now NY Community Bank). After retirement in 1993, Audree and Bill moved to Chandler, Arizona where she resided with much happiness until 2014. Arizona always held a very special place in her heart. Audree's children and grandchildren remember her for her compassion, caring, joy of life, life advice and unfailing love for each and every one of them.
Audree was a quick witted individual who loved to read and to write. She always wanted to write a book with witticisms and advice about her life and aging gracefully, entitled "Ninety Shades of Gray". While in Assisted Living in Provident Village Canton, Audree was Vice President of the Residents Board, Founding Member of their Book Club and loved leading Daily Devotionals. Audree loved and practiced her Catholic faith and was a member of Our Lady of La Salett in Canton, Ga..
A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, August 24 2018 at Our Lady of La Salett, 2941 Sam Nelson Rd, Canton, GA 30114. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Audree's life.
