Survivors include Wife, Lois Jeanette Avritt of Canton, GA; Daughter, Mindy Sportsman of Raleigh, NC; Daughter, Naomi Jensen of NY; Daughter, Beverly Mathis of Cordele, GA; Son, James Edwards Cox of Cordele, GA; also 7 Grandchildren; Santannah Sportsman, Cheland Sportsman, Billy Jensen, Carlie Mathis, Brice Mathis, Kimberly Dobbins, Cathryn Dobbins. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 7:30 PM from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28 from 5 PM until the funeral hour. Graveside services will be held at the Georgia National Cemetery with full Marine Military Honors Wednesday April 30, 2014 at 2:00PM.
