Charles "Chuck" Datres, age 72, of Waleska, GA (Lake Arrowhead Community), passed away at his home on Sunday July 16, 2017. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 12pm in the Chapel of the Darby Funeral Home in Canton, GA. Interment will follow in the Cherokee Memorial Park. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11am-12pm prior to the service.

Chuck was born in Altoona, PA on March 28, 1945 to the late Anna M. and Raymond B. Datres. He completed his B.S. degree at Belmont Abbey College and graduate studies at the University of Virginia. He retired after 34 years from Equitable / AXA as a Senior Manager of the National Hiring Division. He was active in the Lake Arrowhead Community CERT Team, an avid train collector, bird watcher, and world traveler. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
He is Survived by his Wife, Peggy Swilley Datres, of Waleska, GA and daughters: Lesli Rowe of Canton, GA, Dusti Prisock (Stephen) of Canton, GA, Christi Massey (Greg) of Tifton, GA and beloved cat Socks; Grandchildren: Josh Jordan (Jordan) of Waleska, GA, Lauren Prisock of Canton, GA and Owen Prisock of Canton, GA; Siblings: Joe Datres of Tallahassee FL, Mary Ann Datres of Jacksonville, FL and Louise Sembach (David) of Jacksonville, FL; Brother-in-Law: Wally Swilley (Nikki) of Camilla, GA; Nieces: Magan Swilley, Susan Datres (Mark), Caroline Datres, Marisa Jaeger (Kurt), Andrea Whitmore (Paul); Nephews: Cade Swilley, Michael Datres (Catherine), Brett Sembach (Mistye), and Casey Sembach (Melanie), and numerous great nieces and nephews.
