COL Dan W. Faust III, 71, formerly of Lilburn, GA passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dan W. Faust, Jr. and Paula Roberts Willis of Ariton, AL.
Dan was a US Army Veteran, serving most recently in Desert Storm and Operation Enduring Freedom. Dan served in the US Army and Reserves from February, 1966 until October, 2002. He retired as a Civil Service employee at Ft. McPherson, GA. Dan supported Food Bank Programs in Braselton and Hoschton. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
He is survived by his loving wife Billie Jean, three daughters Danae McCarty of Greenwood, SC, Kari (Brett) Peacon of Abbeville, SC, April (Kenney) Wells of Dacula, GA and seven grandchildren Mason, Mitchel, Sloan, Bretta, Lance, Kade, and Jewel; brother Jim Faust of Dalton, AL, and extended family.
The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home, Canton, GA on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the funeral service held at 1:00 pm. A 3:00 pm Military Full Honors ceremony will be held at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
