Dean Reeves, age 89 of Canton, passed away on May 16, 2018 at his residence. Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Deacon John Stanley will officiate the service. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, located at 5201 S. Southwood Rd., Springfield, MO 65804. Mr. Reeves was preceded his wife, Enid "Ann" Reeves. Survivors include son Steve Reeves of Springfield, MO; son Don Abell of Lewexa, KS; daughter Joy Chapman of Springfield, MO; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his stepchildren Marilyn Howard and Diane Kirby. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetic Foundation or the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
