Debra Ann Steedley, age 68, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025. Born December 30, 1957, in Norman, Oklahoma, Debra was the beloved daughter of Shirley Ann and Robert Parrish. Her life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication.
Debra cherished family gatherings, trips to the movies, and dining out, always bringing her radiant smile and vibrant energy to every occasion. Deeply committed to her faith, she was actively involved in her church community, where she formed lifelong friendships and spread joy through her service.
An avid fitness enthusiast, Debra embraced life with a great sense of humor and an infectious zest that made her a delight to be around. Her passion for helping others led her to earn a master's degree and pursue a career as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She founded her own business, Hiz Kids, where she provided house calls and compassionate care to countless children and their families.
Debra's legacy of love lives on through her children, Nick Steedley (wife, Anna Lee) of Canton, GA, and Lindsy Nikerle (husband, Jeff) of Marietta, GA; her sister, Sandra Dee Parrish of Tifton, GA; and the joyful anticipation of her first grandchild, Owen Shepard Steedley. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering devotion to her family and community will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
A visitation to honor Debra's life will be held at Darby Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, GA.
