Dennis Edward Namirr's Obituary

Dennis Edward Namirr, long time resident of Cherokee County, went home to be with His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 6, 2022, at the age of 70. Dennis was a good man and lived a long life full of integrity and love. He graduated from Wheeler High School, honorably served our country in the U.S. Army, and thereafter had a long and fruitful career at General Motors. Dennis was a hard worker and did whatever needed to be done to provide for his family. A large portion of his life was spent pouring into and raising his four boys. Dennis was a wonderful father and made sure to teach his boys all the important things in life – how to build, fix things, shoot a gun, fish, play sports, work hard, etc. but more importantly, Dennis taught them by his own example how to love and lead a family. Dennis was a kind and humble man and always found joy in giving gifts, especially to his grandchildren, whom he loved very much. He will be greatly missed.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Leon Namirr, mother, Dorothy Namirr, and brother, Michael Namirr. He is survived by many members of his family who have been honored by his legacy and memory, namely, his children, Dustin (Elizabeth) Namirr, Daniel (Shannon) Namirr, Derek (Lia) Namirr, and Drew (Cheyenne) Namirr; grandchildren, Jackson, Ruby, Elijah, Noah, Eva, Korra and John; and siblings, Linda (Josh) Chadwick, Jim Namirr, Susan (Dan) Edwards and Mark (Marissa) Namirr.
