Gerri Tippens, age 90 of Canton, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in Kennesaw. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 13th from 1-6pm and Monday 11AM- 2 PM at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral will be on Monday, March 14th at 2pm in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Rev. Merrick McClure, Rev. Robert Bryant, Rev. Dan Willis, and Rev. Bobby McClure officiating. Interment will follow at Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery. She is survived by:
Son - David (Diane) Tippens of Canton
Son - Gerald Robert (Gloria) Tippens of Ellijay
Daughter - Sharon (Randy) Hornbuckle of Woodstock
Brother - J.T. Jones - Waleska
Sister - Charlotte Pettyjohn of Powder Springs
Sister - Barbara Morris of Collinsville, AL.
9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren also survive
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Lymphoma Society in her memory.
