Harry G. Farrell age 93 of Canton, GA died on Saturday January 22, 2011. He was born October 3, 1917 in Brooklyn NY. He graduated with a B.S. degree in 1938 from St. Johns University and with a M.S.  in 1953 from Hostra . He Served in The U.S. Army as a PVT in 101st Calvary 1938-1939 and a Captain in The Infantry 1943-1946 and a Major in 106th Infantry 1953-1954.  He taught social studies at Garden City and Bethpage.  Was Principal Jr. and Sr. High School at Port Jefferson Station, Assistant Superintendent of Schools at Piscataway NJ  and Social Studies Chairman at Hauppauge NY . Was A Member of Orient United Methodist Church for many years and is now a Member Canton First United Methodist Church.  Memorial Services will be announced at a later date. Survivors include Sons, Curtis Farrell, Nesconset, NY and Clark Farrell, Canton, GA .  Daughters, Charmain Derrick, Canton, GA and Caroline Hess, Canton, GA, 8 Grandchildren and one Great grandchild also survive. Caring Staff of the Darby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
