James R. Curtis, age 55 of Canton, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Funeral services are to be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home at 1PM with Pastor Fred Goodwin officiating. Interment will be in the Georgia National Cemetery with the date to be announced later. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Darby Funeral Home from 6PM-8PM. Survivors are wife, Birthe Curtis of Canton; sons, James R. (Stormy) Curtis Jr. of Dallas, GA, Glen (Ditte) Mernild of Denmark, and Tommy Curtis of Canton, GA; parents, Donald & Christiane Curtis of Newnan, GA; brothers, Ronald (Ruth) Curtis of Palmetto, GA and David (Marie) Curtis of LaGrange, GA; sister, Elizabeth Curtis of Newnwn, GA; also surviving are 7 Grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations go to the Salvation Army. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
