Joyce Cary Wingard, 75, of Canton, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and sibling as she passed from her earthly body to be with the Lord.

Joyce was born on November 23, 1941 in Georgianna, Alabama to William T. "W.T." and Hazel Cary. She was the eldest of four children. As a teen, Joyce and her family moved to Pensacola, Florida, where Joyce would go on to marry and raise a family of her own. When she became a grandmother, Joyce became known as "Nana", a name that all would call her and that she would lovingly carry until the day she left us.

A strong woman of faith, Joyce believed that death is but a mere separation until we all meet again. Her unbelievable grace, kindness, strength and giving heart makes her loss unbearable, but her memory a gift. She touched the lives of many throughout her years and her love for family, community and faith will live on.

She is survived by her three children, Theresa and David Garcia, Rhonda Wingard, Billy and Angel Wingard; five grandchildren, Joy and David Dyess, Michelle and Andrew Clute, Megan Garcia, Taylor Wingard and Lucas Wingard; two great-grandchildren, Oakleigh and Callen Clute; her siblings Margaret Ann Skiles and William and Judy Cary and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother, David Wayne Cary.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday June 20, 2017 from the Chapel of the Darby Funeral Home, Interment in the Macedonia Memorial Park, Family will receive friends on Monday from 4PM-8PM. The Caring staff of the Darby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
