Obituary

Kelly Ray Holcomb, 58 years young, of Hiram Georgia passed away on July 7th after losing his battle with cancer.

Kelly was born on September 3rd to Francis Emory and Kenneth Dale Holcomb Sr. in Mogadore Ohio. After graduating from Mogadore High School in 1982, Kelly enlisted with the Marine Corps.

After proudly serving with the Marine Corps for 9 years, he retired as a Sargeant (Sgt E-5) and started his career with Lockheed Martin, where he travelled the world and retired in 2019. Kelly loved to travel, living life out loud, spending time with his family and was a huge history buff who enjoyed "talking" about politics.

He was a kind and loving husband to Tina, as well as an amazing father to Kelly Michael (Sarah), Rachel (Brad) and Sean. Kelly cherished taking his grandchildren Tyler, Kennedy, Mercy, Scarlett and Brinley on "Hoppymeister" adventures and to do "science fair projects" at the house.

Kelly leaves behind his twin sister Karen (David) Randolph, Kenny, Kevin (Amy), and Kit (Janis) Holcomb. His loving grandmother Mary Schmidt welcomes Kelly in Heaven with open arms.

The visitation will be held on July 18th from 5-7pm at Darby Funeral Home. Kelly's memorial will be July 19th from noon to 1pm with his committal service at 2 pm, where his body will be laid to rest in the Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Wounded Warrior Project on behalf of Kelly.

Psalms 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
1Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Holcomb family.
