Lamar Elliot, age 89 of Waleska, GA passed away on January 14, 2016 at his residence. The Elliot family will be accepting friends on January 17, 2016 from 2-6pm at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 11am in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery in Marietta, GA. Survivors include son Greg Elliot of Waleska, GA; son Phil & Jane Elliot of Jasper, GA; and was preceded in death by wife Elsie Elliot and granddaughter Shelly Elliot. Lamar was a World War II Army Air Corp Veteran. Lamar retired from Lockheed and was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels Program. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Waleska United Methodist Church. The funeral arrangements of Mr. Lamar Elliot have been entrusted to Darby Funeral Home.
