Laurent "Larry" Remy, 73 of Acworth, GA passed away Thursday January 26, 2012 at Kennestone Hospital.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Monday January 30, from the Darby Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at 1:00 PM at Georgia National Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 PM.  Survivors include Wife, Dee Remy, Acworth, GA; Sons & Daughters-in-law, David & Stephanie Remy, Suffolk, VA; Stephen & Diane Remy, Woodstock, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Michelle & Marc Richey, Simpsonville, SC; Brother, Edmund & Patricia Remy, St. Petersburg, FL; Sister, Denise & Paul Driscoll, Dudley, MA; 9 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren.  The family ask that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Washington Center, School for Severely Disabled, 2 Betty Spencer Dr. Greenville, SC 29607.  The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
