Marjorie Burns passed away on March 11, 2015. She was born in Wilson, Texas and graduated from Texas Tech University. After graduation she became a flight attendant and later taught school in the Albuquerque NM public schools for twenty-three years. She belonged to several organizations; Delta Kappa Gamma, Kappa Kappa Iota, Beta Sigma Phi, American Association of University Women and American Business Women's Association. After retiring Marjorie volunteered for the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau for several years. She moved to Kennesaw, Georgia in 2002 to be near family. Marjorie is survived by her daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Bauer and son-in-law TJ Bauer, two grandchildren, Sheryl Jones, Brian Albrecht and wife Lindsey, and one great grandchild, Wyatt Jones, all of Georgia. Visitation will be Friday March 13, 2015 from 6PM to 8PM at Darby Funeral home in Canton, Georgia. A private service and interment will be held in Texas.
