Mrs. Mary Frances Kirby Markham, age 94, of Canton, Georgia and formerly of Bowling Green, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Millett Markham, her son, Lynn Kirby Markham. grandchild, Nicholas Markham and her parents, P.W. and Bess (Wheeler) Kirby.
Mrs. Markham is survived by her daughter, Elaine Sheffield of Ball Ground, 2 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.


Mrs. Markham was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church for over 60 years, a member of the Wesley Fellowship Class and the United Methodist Women. She helped
organize Triple L. Senior Adults at Broadway in 1988. She volunteered at the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Hotel Inc and at the church for many years. She was also a graduate of the class of 1943 from College High Training School and retired from Dental Hygiene Department at WKU in 1979 and loved to camp, read, be with people and help others.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Broadway United Methodist Church. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at J.C. Kirby Funeral Home (Lover's Lane Chapel) on Thursday, May 24, 2018 from 3pm to 7pm.
