Roger Orville Miller Sr., age 89 of Waleska, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2017 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Graveside services are scheduled for Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10:30a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kay Miller of Waleska, his sons, Roger O. (Vonda) Miller Jr. of Fairmount, Mark S. (Kathy) Miller of South Carolina, and James Randall Holt of Houston, TX., his daughter, Mary Katheryn (Richard) Maxey of California, his brother, Rudy Miller of Daytona Beach, FL., his sister, Betty Vickers of Newnan, and his five grandchildren, James Brandon Holt, James Holt, Austin Maxey, Myles Maxey, and Roger O. Miller III. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to the Ed Towers Family Fund at Canton First United Methodist Church. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
