Wayne Baron Hinson of Young Harris, GA, peacefully passed away on
Thursday, January 18, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Wayne was
born in Tifton, GA on September 13, 1940 to W.B. & Mary Eunice (Durham)
Hinson of Albany, GA. He attended Georgia Southwestern College in 1958
obtaining an Associates Degree in Business. Wayne served in the National
Guard Reserves. In 1994 Wayne retired from a long career in Finance and
Banking as the President of the Southeast Division of Beneficial
Management Corporation. Wayne and Linda are members of Sharp Memorial
United Methodist Church in Young Harris, GA. It was in retirement that
Wayne was able to pursue his passion of beach trips with family, camping,
hunting, boating and RV'ing. Those left to cherish their memories are his
Loving Wife of 40 years Linda (Felix), Daughter Ashley & Colin Furlong,
Grandsons Porter & Samuel of Canton, GA, Son Christopher & Shannon
(Hawthorne), Grandsons Logan & Kade of Clermont, GA, Sister Dianne &
Keith Hatcher of Sherrills Ford, NC, along with many relatives in his tight
knit family. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents W.B. & Mary
Eunice (Durham) Hinson of Albany, GA, and his first wife Joann (Daniel)
Hinson of Columbus, GA. Services will be held at a future date at Sharp
Memorial UMC, Young Harris, GA. In lieu of flowers the family has
requested donations be made to the Fisher House Foundation, "Helping
Military Families", www.fisherhouse.org As Wayne used to famously
remark, "Lord it's hard to be humble when you're perfect in every way!"...
