Carrie Ann Godfrey
December 17, 1942 – April 5, 2025

Carrie Ann Godfrey, 82, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025. She was born on December 17, 1942, in Canton to the late Ovaline and Pete Cagle.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at Cherokee Memorial Park, with Reverend Cody Ingram officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM the same day at Darby Funeral Home.

Carrie was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Peter D. Godfrey (Cherie) of Canton, GA; daughter, Kendra Godfrey (Tim White) of Jasper, GA; sisters Jeffrey Carnes and Elsie Haley (Mike), both of Canton, GA; three grandchildren Zack Godfrey, Paisley Ingram, and Madison Staib; and eight great-grandchildren: Willow, Eylah, Atticus, Opal, Penelope, Weston, Delilah, and Indie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ovalene and Pete Cagle; her husband, Bill Godfrey; and her sister, Nina Hodges.
