In Loving Memory of Cecilia Griffin Chima

Cecilia Griffin Chima, age 31, of Canton, GA formerly of Oxford, MS, passed away on March 3, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.
Born on April 13, 1993, to Pamela Shook Griffin and Daniel Griffin, Cecilia was a light to all who knew her. A graduate of Kennesaw State University with a bachelor's degree, she pursued her passions with enthusiasm and curiosity. She found joy in the art of cooking and the science of flavors, creating drinks and dishes that reflected her creativity and love for others.
Above all, Cecilia's greatest joy was being a mother to her two precious children, Cooper George Chima and Evie Claire Chima. She poured her heart into raising them, guiding them with the same faith and compassion that defined her life. She lived the scriptures she read, walking in God's grace with a heart full of love.
At the age of 15, Cecilia met the love of her life, Karl Chima. Their love story was one of devotion and deep connection, culminating in their marriage in September 2011. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, faith, and unwavering support for one another.
Cecilia was a friend to all, a soul who never met a stranger. Her kindness, warmth, and ability to make others feel loved left a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
She is survived by her husband Karl Chima, Canton, GA, mother, Pamela Shook Griffin, Canton, GA, son Cooper George Chima, and daughter Evie Claire Chima, brother Thomas Griffin , mother in law Coleen Chima, Woodstock, sister in law Ashley Biddy (Kyle), Holly Springs, GA, maternal grandmother Virginia L. Shook, Hiawassee, GA, paternal grandmother Roberta T. Griffin, Marietta, GA, aunts Michele Shook, Gainesville, GA, Miranda Roof (Lucas), Blue Ridge, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her father Daniel Griffin, grandfather Reverend Jerry Shook, grandfather Theodore Q. Griffin.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 12, at Woodstock City Church, with interment to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
Cecilia's presence in this world was a gift, and though she is no longer with us, her love, faith, and light will continue to shine in the hearts of those she touched.
Rest in peace, Cecilia. You are loved beyond measure and missed beyond words.
