Frank Alan Coe, beloved husband, brother, and grandfather, passed away on August 4, 2025, at 67 in Canton, Georgia. Born April 11, 1958, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Frank lived vibrantly with sharp intellect and humor.
Frank graduated from Millburn High School in Millburn, NJ, and earned a Bachelor of Science from Tulane University, where he joined the Sigma Chi fraternity. He later earned an MBA from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He had a successful career as a commercial banker, retiring in 2018. Post-retirement, he volunteered at Northside Cherokee Hospital, greeting visitors warmly.
Frank lived in Florida before settling in Canton with his wife, Cathy. Their marriage was his cornerstone, filled with love and adventure. A devoted New York Yankees fan, he also cheered for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He cherished attending the Masters Tournament at Augusta, his face alight with its thrill. An avid biker, hiker, and traveler, Frank loved the outdoors. His hearty laugh and wit brightened any room, and he enjoyed unraveling a good conspiracy theory with a playful grin.
Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Cathy Outwater of Canton, GA; his brother, Jeffrey (Sherry) Coe of Henderson, NV; his sister, Karen (William) Fraind of East Hampton, NY; and grandchildren, Ava Whitten (18), Brady Meredith (10), and Ryann Meredith (8). He was predeceased by his parents, Phyllis (née Kicenuk) and Francis Coe.
Frank's legacy of humor, kindness, and love for family endures. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Darby Funeral Home in Canton, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Northside Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary in Frank's memory.
