Mr. Jeffrey Scott Rives, age 47 of Canton, Georgia, passed away on September 10, 2015. A memorial service will be held on September 16, 2015 at 2:00 PM at The River Church, located at 2335 Sixes Road, Canton, Georgia 30114. Visitation will take place one hour before the service. Pastor John Holloway will be officiating. Mr. Rives is survived by his wife Kristin Rives of Canton; daughter Anna Rives of Canton; son Brendan Rives of Canton; parents Bobby and Sandra Rives of Durham, North Carolina; brother Greg Rives of Durham, North Carolina, and father and mother-in-law Don and Carol Frelier of Grand Rapids, Michigan; brother in laws Jeff Frelier of San Deigo, California and Dr. Steven Frelier of Chesterfield, Virginia. He is also survived by David and Peggy Morrell of Durham, North Carolina; Dr. Todd Morrell of Lyme, New Hampshire; Michael Morrell of Jersey City, New Jersey; Dr. Tracey Roberson of Durham, North Carolina; and Matthew Morrell of Durham, North Carolina. The family requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Fund in his memory.

Mr. Rives held Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and Master of Business Administration from North Carolina State University. He treasured his family, especially his children, Anna and Brendan; and his many friends. He had a passion for the great outdoors and found joy in camping, hiking, and playing golf.
