Larry Neese passed away peacefully October 14th, 2020. He was born October 1st, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia. Larry was a devoted husband to his wife, Eleanor. They were married for 51 years. He was a kind, caring and loving husband, Daddy and Papa. He loved his girls, grandchildren and son-in-law and was always proud to be called Daddy and Papa.
Larry attended Georgia Tech and Southern Polytechnic University. He opened West Georgia Engineers and Surveyors in 1973 and had a very successful and thriving business which he took great pride in. All of his employees and clients he considered friends. They contributed greatly to the privilege and passion he felt in the work he did. He retired in 2008, but continued to work until recently.
As a longtime member of First United Methodist Church, Marietta he contributed his time, resources and devotion to church and community. He was an active member of his men's small group and prayer groups within the church.
Larry is survived by his wife Eleanor Leveritt Neese; daughter Emily Neese Lambert; son-in-law Jonathan Thomas Lambert; daughter Susan Neese Sauls; grandchildren Claire Elizabeth Lambert, Ella Kate Sauls, Ethan Palmer Lambert, Lucas Riley Sauls, Eleanor Grace Lambert, Emily Elizabeth Sauls and Aaron Maxwell Sauls; nieces and cousins.
Larry is preceded in death by his father Joseph Daniel Neese, mother Rachel Knight Neese and sister JoDean Neese Looney.
