Lillian Arlene Haly

Lillian Arlene Haly, 82, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. Born on March 28, 1943, in Brynmawr, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of Lillian Arlene Stevens.
Arlene had a deep and abiding love for animals, a passion that led her to establish Misfit Farms, an animal rescue in Cartersville, Georgia. Her compassion and dedication gave countless animals a second chance at life. Alongside her work in rescue, Arlene found joy in gardening and spending time with her family, whom she cherished above all else.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Franklin B. Haly; her daughters Kim (Mark) Hawks of Alpharetta, Georgia, and Lori (Pneal) Hollaran of Marietta, Georgia; her son Richard (Kela) Haly of Canton, Georgia; and her sister Maria Hoyt of Boston, Massachusetts. Arlene also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Austin Hawks, Carson Hawks, Haly Hawks, Rya Hollaran, Addy Hollaran, Mason Haly, Jordan Haly, and Ryann Haly.
A private service will be held at a later date to honor Arlene's life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a local animal rescue in Arlene's memory, continuing her lifelong mission of kindness and care.
