Rick Estes, age 57 of Ball Ground, passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at his residence. Rick was a Soldier, a Protector, a Fighter, and Friend.
He prided himself on integrity and honesty and expected the same of others. He was a proud man, and a selfless man. If someone needed help, he was the first one to be there. He loved the outdoors and found his solace with God while in the woods. His peace was being in the woods. Rick loved his wife and daughters and dogs above all else and did everything to protect them and teach them and love them. He will always be remembered as a fun-loving guy and loyal friend.
The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Sunday, July 11th from 1-2:30pm. The funeral will follow the visitation at 3pm in the chapel of Darby Funeral Home with Chaplain Ken Koons officiating. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 26th at 2pm at Georgia National Cemetery.

Daughter - Jessica Estes of Woodstock
Daughter - Lori Estes of Athens
