Robert (Bob) Roby Hagy, 85, of Woodstock, GA, born Saturday, May 30, 1931 in Redlands, California, died Monday, April 24, 2017. He attended San Bernardino High School in San Bernardino, California, Redlands University in Redlands, California and University of California in Riverside, California. He was proud to serve his country in the Army.
His life was enriched by his deep love of family and friends. He was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roby and Frances Hagy and two children, Sheryl and Steven. Surviving are his wife, Donna Merchant Hagy of Woodstock, GA; son Kevin Hagy (spouse Sarah) of Marietta, GA; his brother, Jerry Hagy (spouse Joan) of Incline Village, NV, and sister, Donna Parker (spouse Jim) of Eugene, OR; Brother-in-laws Wayne Merchant of El Cajon, CA and Gary Merchant (spouse Patte) of Alpine, CA; 6 grandchildren.
Bob had a successful career as an executive with AM International as well as Triumph Adler North America (Includes Royal Typewriter division). He was also fortunate enough to retire for 30 years where his passions included serving on boards and committees. These include Southwest Florida Fair Board, National Computer and Office Equipment Association Board Member, Rotary Club President, Bonita Springs, FL, Rotary Club Board Member, Canton, GA, Bonita Springs Speaker Assembly Co-Founder and Board Member, Bonita Springs Leadership Council Co-Chairman, Congregational Church in Avon, CT Trustees and Building Committee Chairperson, First Presbyterian Church, Bonita Springs, FL Chair of Finance and Building Ministry, Clerk of Session and Interim Church Administrator, Canton First United Methodist Church, Finance Committee, Bartlett Learning Center, School for Handicap Children, Board Member, University of Connecticut Board Member, Business Graduate School, YMCA Board Member, United Appeal Board Member, Araba Shrine since 1968 includes various roles including Commodore Mariners, Masonic Member since 1967, Scottish Rite Member since 1968, Member of various Corporate Board of Directors.
