Donald Winfred Shirey age 85 of Canton, GA passed away early Sunday morning December 19, 2021 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00PM Saturday January 8, 2022 from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until the funeral hour. A graveside service with United States Navy Honors will be held in the Georgia National Cemetery at 3:00PM Tuesday January 11, 2022. Donald and the love of his life Patricia celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary Wednesday December 15th. He also worked for RC Cola for 35 years retiring as a Vice President for the soft drink giant. He is survived by his wife; Patricia Shirey, Canton, GA, sons; Donald Winfred (Julie) Shirey II, Canton, GA, Patrick Holmes (Malinda) Shirey, Canton, GA, daughters; Kimber Lee Shirey, Canton, GA, Judith Kelly (Ian) Lunde, Woodstock, GA, 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Gladys Shirey and his brother Terry Shirey. The Staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Shirey Family.
