Frank W. Wood age 72 of Ball Ground, GA passed away on Sunday July 20, 2014 at his residence. He was a retired Sgt. of the Georgia State Patrol, and a Marine Corp Veteran. He is survived by his wife Gail Wood of Ball Ground, Ga, his sons Steve Wood, Chris and Kevin Hampton. Grandchildren: Kristen Young Hoyt, Orry Young, Josh and Noah Wood, Cody and Wyatt Hampton, Michael, Chandler and Kylie Hampton, Zana Williams. Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his daughter, Jami Young. Darby Funeral Home will handle services, which will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 2 PM at the Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Bud Davis will be officiating. The family request that in lieu of flowers, make donations to The Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society in his memory.
