Alan Hinks of Tarpon Springs, Florida passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025 at the age of 87 after a long struggle with dementia. Born in Birmingham, England, he was the devoted husband of Beverly and loving father to Michael and Suzanne.
Alan was a man of kindness, love, and humor. The majority of his career was at IBM starting with sales of early mainframes and eventually progressing into management. In retirement, he enjoyed time with family, traveling, and perfecting his golf game.
Alan is survived by a son Michael Hinks and daughter-in-law Julie Nordstrom, daughter Suzanne Hill and son-in-law Ron Hill, grandchildren Griffin and Sarah Hill as well as several sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Beverly, sister Jill, and brother Norman.
A celebration of life will be held in Tarpon Springs, FL in early December. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (
