Mrs. Alice E. Lanning, age 104 of Canton, Ga, passed away on April 17, 2015 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Visitation services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 11AM-10PM, and Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 10AM-10PM at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11AM in the Darby Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Buddy Roper, Rev. Robert Allen, Rev. Joey DuBoise will officiate. Interment will follow in Turnip Town Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Lanning was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Vernie Lanning, son Vernie Lanning Jr., son Jerry Lanning, and daughter Reba Cox. Darby Funeral Home is accepting flowers at this time.
