Allen Lee Bennett, age 79 of Canton, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Northide Hospital Cherokee. Visitation will take place at Darby Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 from 10:00a.m. to 9:00p.m. and Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11:30a.m. from the chapel of Darby Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. Reverend Franklin King and Reverend Mike Ware will officiate. He is survived by his wife, Marie Bennett of Canton, his son, Wayne Lankster of Atlanta, his daughters, Teresa (Jim) Norton of Canton and Detra (Greg) Mason of Canton, and seven grandchildren, Zachary Norton, Van Norton, Gregory Mason, Taylor Mason, Tommie Little, Courtney Mason, and Nate Mason. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Darby Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
