Andrea Leigh Riley, age 49, of Canton, GA, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Andrea was born on November 28, 1975, to Janet Leigh Jackson Haney and Donald Haney. She was a devoted member of Riverdale Baptist Church in Canton, GA, where her faith and kind spirit touched many.

Andrea earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Brenau University and had a deep passion for nurturing young minds. She was known for her warm heart, her love for animals, and her deep appreciation for music and concerts. Andrea found joy in spending time with family and friends and was especially devoted to her nieces and nephews. She was also an avid reader who cherished quiet moments with a good book.

She is survived by her husband, Jeremy Riley; her father, Donald Haney (Susie) of Blairsville, GA; her brother, Justin Smith (Amber) of Florida; her sister, Amanda Gilbert (Matt) of Colrain, MA; her cousin, Krista Ashe, and Krista's daughter, Olivia Ashe, both of Canton, GA. Andrea was a proud and loving aunt to her nieces, Lilly Gilbert, Abbie Smith, and Addie Smith, and her nephews, Mason Gilbert and Andy Smith.

Andrea is preceded in death by her mother, Janet Leigh Jackson Haney, and her grandparents, Julian and Jean Haney, and Virginia and Billy Jackson.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Darby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Riverdale Baptist Church, with interment to follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. Reverend Thomas Wheeler and Reverend Adam Parker will officiate.

Andrea's legacy of love, kindness, and joyful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
