Andrew "Andy" Lee McKnight, age 48, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, Georgia. 

Those who were lucky enough to know and love Andy will remember him for his adventurous spirit, his kindness, and the genuine joy he brought to the lives of others. He found happiness in simple pleasures—fishing, bird watching, hiking, and exploring new adventures with his beloved wife, his friends, and always by the side of his faithful dog, Sunny. He also had a passion for collecting, especially unique and interesting pieces that caught his eye.

But more than his hobbies, Andy will be remembered for the way he made people feel. He carried a warmth and generosity that turned acquaintances into friends and friends into family. With his easy smile, quick laughter, and genuine interest in others, he had a special gift for making everyone feel welcomed and valued.

Andy never met a stranger for long. He would strike up conversations with anyone, and before long, a new friendship was formed. He remembered birthdays, shared laughter, and always found ways to make people feel special. Whether offering a helping hand, providing support, or simply being there when someone needed him, Andy gave generously of himself to his family and friends.

Andy was truly one of a kind. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and countless cherished memories. To know Andy was to love Andy, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tiffany McKnight of Acworth, Georgia; mother, Karen McKnight of Canton, Georgia; father and step-mother, John and Jenifer McKnight of Buford, Georgia; brothers, Jonathan (Melissa) McKnight of Milton, Georgia and Sean McKnight of Denver, Colorado; sister, Caitlin (Andrew) Chitty of Suwanee, Georgia; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the home of John and Jenifer McKnight.
