Arthur Eugene Carr, age 79 of Canton, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 11:00a.m at Holly Springs United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Carr of Canton, his son, Douglas Carr of Three Forks, Montana, his daughters, Brenda (Darin) Bate of Canton and Lauren Carr of Pinellas Park, Florida, his stepson Scott Miles of Bethesda Maryland, his stepdaughter Kelly (Jamie) Hueble of Greer, South Carolina, his brothers, Bob (Kathy) Carr of North Carolina, Douglas (Vivian) Carr of Florida, Al (Charlene) Carr of Florida, Tommy (Linda) Carr of Florida, his sister, Charlene (Paul) Gerry of Florida. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
