With hearts full of love yet heavy with sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious son, Baylor Wayne McQueen on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.
Baylor was welcomed with open arms by his loving parents, Garrett and Jenna McQueen. He leaves behind his adoring brothers, Easton Jayce McQueen, Myles Parker McQueen and Tripp Evans McQueen.
He is also survived by his grandparents — Michelle Kuriger (Heath) of Jasper, Georgia; Dewayne Shiver of Ellijay, Georgia; Ron McQueen (Pat) of Woodstock, Georgia — and his great-grandparents — Bernice Wilkens (Granny-G) of Slidell, Louisiana; Edgar Shiver of Dalton, Georgia; and Sylvia Johnson (David) of Dalton, Georgia. He is also lovingly remembered by his aunts Jennifer Parr (David) of Slidell, Louisiana, Erin McQueen of Woodstock, Georgia; and his uncle Blake Shiver of Denver, Colorado.
Baylor was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Arnold "Mac" (Alice) McQueen, Patsy Shiver, and Howard Patterson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Darby Funeral Home in Canton, Georgia. A funeral service to honor Baylor's life will follow at 1:00 PM in the chapel at Darby Funeral Home, with Paul Palmer officiating. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Georgia.
In this time of unspeakable loss, we take solace in the fact that Baylor will forever live in our hearts. His brief arrival was a gift — a reminder of love's infinite reach, even in the most fleeting of moments. We will hold his memory gently, honor his place among us, and carry him always in our thoughts.
