Betty Jane Abernathy, age 90 of Dawsonville, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at her residence.

A graveside service in honor and celebration of the life of Mrs. Abernathy will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the Old Macedonia Campground Cemetery in Bartow County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the graveside.

Mrs. Abernathy is survived by her husband, Wayne J. Abernathy; daughter, Cindy Joy Abernathy of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Elijah and Ashley Anderson, Holly Salazar, and Melanie and Jonathan Henson great-grandchild, Micah Salazar, Lynnleigh and Briggs Henson and Raven Anderson and brother, Joe Kemp of Villa Rica.
