Billy Ray Chavis, 73, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024. A service honoring his life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, in the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM. Chris Collette will officiate.

Billy Ray is survived by his fiancée, Barbara Richards of Woodstock, GA; his sons, Jody Chavis of North Carolina, Tony Chavis of North Carolina, and Michael Chavis of Chicago, IL; his daughter, Kelly Chavis of Marietta, GA; his brothers, Bobby Chavis, Claudell Chavis, and Ernest Chavis, all of North Carolina; his sister, Diane Jacobs of North Carolina; and two beloved granddaughters.
