Obituary

Brody Logan Wright, 20, superhero to all, departed this world for heaven on Friday, October 25, 2024. Brody brought love and joy to everyone in his life. Through the unwavering support of special friends, family, and loving teachers, he overcame many hardships and reminded us that we are all superheroes. A 2023 graduate of Cherokee High School, Brody was a student at Transition Academy. He recently achieved his dream of working at Chick-Fil-a at Canton Marketplace. Brody was also an active participant in Special Olympics, winning multiple gold medals with his sister, Aven, in Unified Basketball and Tennis, while inspiring his brother Declan's love for the game of hoops. In addition, Brody won gold medals in soccer and equestrian competitions.

Brody lived a life of adventure as a world traveler, hiking with llamas in Colorado, rafting the Yellowstone River in Montana, exploring the Grand Canyon, climbing the Eiffel Tower, and visiting Big Ben and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. He loved riding his bike and looking for shells at the beaches of Carillon and Marco where he would say, "I belong here." He loved everything Disney: Visiting the parks, singing songs to Finding Nemo and Bolt, and sailing on Disney cruises. His favorite movie was Toy Story. You had a friend in Brody, and he will be with us to infinity and beyond.

Brody was greeted in heaven by his Mimi Lisa Nesz. In addition to his many friends, Brody leaves behind his parents Shawn and Amy Wright, sister Aven, brother Declan, his dog Sedona, his grandparents Dick and Lori Nesz of Blue Ridge, Georgia and Dennis and Melanie Wright of Bluffton, South Carolina. He is also survived by his uncle Greg and aunt Rinn (Nesz); uncle Mark and aunt Mandy (Nesz); uncle Brian and aunt Teri (Wright); lumpcle Chris (Wright); uncle Patrick and aunt Celi (Wright); and cousins Gavin, Payton, Scott, Kylie, Megan, Mitchell, Nolan, Nevin, Aidan, and Caleb. He loved his friends at Transition Academy, his Special Olympic teammates, numerous friends in his neighborhood, and everyone he met. Brody cherished connecting with friends and family through encouraging words and texts, letting them know: "If you need me, I will always be there."

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 1, at Canton Methodist Church in Canton. Visitation will be from 2-3 pm, service from 3-4 pm, and a reception will be held from 4-5 pm. Superhero attire is encouraged.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cherokee County Special Olympics. In the near future, the family plans to honor Brody and his incredible influence on others and the world around him by creating a foundation in his name.
