Dr. Carlton Bennett Hudson 78, of Canton, Georgia and formerly of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on August 7, 2014 in the company of his loving family. Dr. Hudson was born on March 19, 1936 in Houston, Texas to the late Helen Mary Peake and John Bennett Hudson. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Martha Hudson Kirkpatrick.
After attending the University of Texas and Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Hudson served in the U.S. Air Force before being honorably discharged. Dr. Hudson practiced Radiology for 40 years in North Georgia. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Canton.
Dr. Hudson is survived by his loving wife Sandra; three sons, Edward and his wife Beth of Acworth, Georgia, Michael and his wife Emily and their two children Margaret Rose and Lucile of Cartersville, Georgia, and John and his wife Tina and their children Kara, Joseph, and Grant of Cartersville, Georgia; and one step-son Bill Waits of Canton, Georgia.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, August 9th, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Darby Funeral Home, Canton. A Celebration Service honoring the life of Dr. Hudson will be held Monday, August 11th at 11:00 am at First Baptist Canton.
