Caroline Stanford Marsh, age 89 of Canton, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at her residence.
She was born June 7, 1930 in Rossville, Georgia to the late George and Edisto Stanford. Mrs. Marsh was a dedicated teacher of 32 years, a lifetime member of the Laurel Garden Club, a member of the Lake Junulaska Association and served on numerous committees. She was also a member of Canton First United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 3-6pm. The funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10am at Canton First United Methodist Church with Dr. C.R. Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Monroe Hills Memorial Gardens in Forsyth, Georgia.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, J. Edward Marsh, her son Steven Marsh and daughter in law Jane Marsh of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter Cariedda Thompson and son in law Jimmy Thompson of Alto; grandchildren, Kelsey Shuman, Alex Marsh, Kadie Hudgins, Bailey Shouse, Kelly Thompson; great-grandchildren, Erin Shuman, A.J. House.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be given to Canton First United Methodist Church in her memory.
