Carolyn Brogdon Peterman, 81 of Canton, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Northside Hospital Cherokee.
Carolyn Brogdon Peterman was born on May 18, 1942, to the late Sidney Brogdon and Willie Mae Pearce Brogdon in Blakely, Georgia. She had a lifelong career of bookkeeping, payroll management, and work in HR.
In her younger years, she sang in a band and played bass guitar. She traveled to various venues and played in Canada at one point. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church regularly. She enjoyed making her famous dressing every Thanksgiving, and her punchbowl cake was a crowd pleaser at numerous functions.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Gay Winton; brothers Buford Brogdon and Bobby Don Brogdon; sisters Willie Frances Brogdon Ford and Eleanor Ann Brogdon Johnson.
Survivors include daughter, Pamela Peterman (Evelyn); grandchildren Stephanie Hayes, Jessica Bailey (Kerry), William Askew (Emily), Angela Eller, Donna Jo Askew, Kayla Urbina, James Winton II (Tatiana), and Liberty Schaeffer (Trevor); Fourteen great-grandchildren; brother William "Duke" Brogdon (Sherry); nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Darby Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 2pm at Macedonia Memorial Park.
