Cathy Elissa (Lisa) Vaughn was born on February 8, 1951 in Canton, GA to Alfred and Frances Fowler Vaughn. She graduated from Cherokee High School, and attended West Georgia College.

Lisa worked for many years as a medical insurance encoder before ill health forced her retirement. After retirement, her passion became working as a volunteer with her beloved Canton United Methodist Church, in particular the Ed Towers Community Fund.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Vaughn and brother-in-law, Richard Haley.

She is survived by her mother, Frances Fowler Vaughn of Canton, sister Nena Haley of Canton, niece Kimberly (Louis) Pellegrin of Houma, LA, great-niece Caroline Pellegrin and great-nephew Luke Pellegrin, both of Houma, LA.

Visitation will be Friday, January 20th from 5-7pm at Darby Funeral Home. The funeral will be Saturday, January 21st at 11am at Canton First United Methodist Church with Dr. Kenny Ott and Rev. Terry Caylor officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donation to Ed Towers Community Fund, Canton United Methodist Church, Canton, Ga.
