Claude William Allen, age 95 of Canton, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016 from complications of a heart attack. He was a WWII fighter pilot and a retired captain at Republic Airlines. The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 4:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. The funeral will take place on Thursday, June 30, 2016 AT 10:30a.m. from the chapel at Darby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Barbara Allen, 2nd wife Elaine Allen, son Dave Allen, brother Dalton Allen, and sister Clara Rivers. He is survived by his son, Lee (Aurea) Allen of Fayetteville, his stepson, Edward (Schynell) Bragg of Chattanooga, TN., and his stepdaughter, Susan Arp of Canton. Four grandchildren also survive and many nephews and nieces too numerous to name. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements.
