Claude William (C.W.) Lovett Jr. was born March 9, 1923 in Waycross, GA heaven gained another Angel March 7, 2015 C.W. was a Veteran of World War II, serving in Azore islands off the coast of North Africa, receiving the American Theater Service Ribbon, European-Africa- Middle Eastern Service Medal, WWII Victory medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He served with the 1455th Engineer Service Company. Before retiring he had worked for Atlanta Plumbers and Steamfitter Union Local 72. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching Nascar Racing. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Tommy and Reba Lovett of Douglasville, Eddie and Laurann Cantrell Lovett, Canton, Curtis and Debbie Lovett of Bowman, and Ronnie Lovett of Lawrenceville, Eight grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and two Great grandchildren, Brother Carl Lovett of Alpharetta, Sisters Blanche Crider of Loganville, Ila Mae Phillips of Dawsonville, and Ruth and Mark Whayne of Lawrenceville and host of family members. Preceded in death by wife and Mother of his children Roydean Lovett, Sister Marguerita Moore, and Brother Alvin Lovett. Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of the Darby Funeral Home, Interment will be at the Georgia Memorial Park, Rev. Mike Stinson will officiate. Family will receive friends on Friday 2PM – 4 PM & 6PM – 8PM and on Saturday from 10 AM – 1:30 PM Family request that in lieu of flowers donations to the Charity of your choice in his Memory.
