Connie "Ray" Pitts of Canton, GA was born on December 17, 1955 to Melonee Vines Pitts and Glawer Pitts. On August 7, 2017 in Riverdale, GA, he went on to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with whom he had a personal relationship.
He served in the Army National Guard, earned his GED, was a skilled welder, and received a certificate of completion from the Morris Cerullo School of Ministry.
Family members left to cherish his memory include his sisters Dr. Shirley Cherry, D.H.L. of Middletown, RI & Millbrook, AL; and Andrea (Alex) Fraley of Milledgeville, GA; a son, Christopher (Valgenae) Seabrooks; a granddaughter, Jaiden; and a very special long-time friend, Jeanette Hobbs of Atlanta, GA.
Nieces, Tamia (Scotty) Roach; Sarita Thomas; LaShonda (Joshua) Tucker; JaMarra Fraley; Sharla (David) Quintanilla; Ronda (Darren) Smoke; a very special caregiving niece, Marcia Pitts; nephews, Warren Pitts; Gerald (Pam) Pitts; Bruce Cherry; and JaMarcus Fraley.
Connie is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Melonee Vines Pitts and Glawer Pitts; his sister, Judy Carol Pitts; his brother, Willie Gene Pitts; and grandparents, Evis T. Vines and Claudia Pearson Vines.
Family was extremely important to Connie and he especially loved his nieces and nephews. He had special nicknames for some of them such as "My Baby, Tinkerbell and Miss Piggy". He leaves a host of cousins, relatives, and friends. He will be sorely missed by all of them.
