Dan Vernon Burkholder, age 87 of Waleska, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2019 at his residence. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 10am at Georgia National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at Darby Funeral Home at 8:30am to go in procession to the cemetery. A reception will follow the service at the Burkholder residence. He is survived by:
Wife - Carolyn Burkholder of Waleska
Son - Dan Jacobs of Houston, TX.
Son - Scott Jacobs of Atlanta
Daughter - Janice Fowler of Waleska
Daughter - Susan Jacobs-Meadows of Atlanta
Six grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Reinhardt University or Waleska United Methodist Church.
