Daniel Martz Johnson was born on June 26, 1965, to Janet and Raymond Johnson in Richfield, Minnesota, Dan was the fourth of four children. He spent much of his early childhood in Richfield, and young adult life in Fridley, Minnesota. After graduating from High School, Dan Joined the US Air Force as a Dental Assistant and started working on his Undergraduate Degree, which he received from the University of North Dakota in 1996. Dan met the love of his life, Nikki, on New Year's Eve 1994, they married in May 1997, they were married for 23 years.

Dan worked hard all his life, from being an auto mechanic, to being a records administrator for a Big-4 accounting firm, to being a hospital administrator with the Air Force Reserves. In 2003, Dan went fulltime with the U.S. Air Force, taking on various roles until his retirement in 2015.

Dan is survived by his two Sons, Gunnar and Tucker, Mother Janet, Sister Valerie, and several Nieces and Nephews.

Dan is preceded in death by his Wife Nicole, Father Raymond, Brothers Glenn, and James.

Services will be held Wednesday October 1, 2025 at 1:00PM from the Chapel of Darby Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:30AM until the funeral hour. Interment with Air Force honors will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery at 3:00PM. Chris Collett will officiate.
