Turner, Connie Atkinson went on to be with the Lord and Savior on February 24, 2014. Born in Atlanta January 5, 1936 she attended O' Keefe High School and Ga. State University. She was a model, a receptionist for Bethlehem Steel and John Harland Co. and a stewardess for Delta Airlines before marrying her Husband Pat and starting a Family. In 1971 they moved to the farm in Hickory Flat where she became a professional farm girl doing the vegetable growing, canning, freezing and raising animals that went along with it. All this was done with two little boys dragging along. Connie was a sports fan, especially for Ga. Tech football, Atlanta Falcons, tennis and NASCAR. Connie missed her time with her A.L.T.A. tennis buddies at Atlanta Athletic Club, her time strolling the beaches at Hilton Head and her family gatherings where she cooked her wonderful food. She is preceded by Parents, Blanch Chasion Atkinson and Arch Winn Atkinson, adopted Father, Pat Pazzetti, Sister; Jenny Lindsay, Forrest Park, GA, Brother; Alvin Atkinson, Charlotte, NC, Brother in Law; Frank Taylor, Atlanta, GA. Surviving are husband of 53 years John R. (Pat) turner; sons, Chris (Sharon) and Paul; grandchildren, Graig, Trevor, Jasmine, Ashton and Presley Turner; great grandchildren, cally, Addie, Corbin; sister, Barbara Watkoski of Albany, NY; Adopted mother Margie Pazzetti of Hilton Head; three brothers-in-law, David (Sharon) Turner, Nelson Taylor and Alan (Jennie) Taylor; also numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at Darby Funeral Home in Canton, GA at 2PM Friday, February 28. The family will receive friends at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MUST Ministries, PO Box 1696 Canton, GA 30169 where Connie was a volunteer. Connie was cremated and her remains will rest in their plot in the Pine Crest section of Arlington Memorial Gardens.
